School Closure Procedure

The school will make every attempt to stay open. However, in severe weather when travel may be dangerous, it may be necessary to either close early, or not open. The school may also need to close if there is a severe disruption to services (i.e. no water, no heating in cold weather).

Whenever possible/practicable, the school office will be manned, but please be aware that telephone lines may be busy

To find out if the school is open or closed you can do one or more of the following:

• Check the school website www.braunstonprimary.org.uk on the front page there will be a note to say the school is closed
• Check the school facebook page.
• Check the school instagram page
• Look out for updates and information via Arbor
• Listen to Heart or Northamptonshire radio for broadcasts of school closures
• Check the FOBs facebook page for your child's class
